Cancun Spring Break Information & Pictures

Spring Break 2003 in Cancun was absolutely insane. My crew and I stayed at the Melia Turquesa for 10 long days. All the action was over at the Oasis Cancun Hotel. MTV had some celebrities from the Real World & Road Rules TV shows hanging out and judging wet t-shirt contests. Steve-O from Jackass also made an appearance. The beach behind the Oasis was packed with tight tanned college girls all sipping on yards of fruit punch with Bacardi rum. We were thirsty for something other than girly drinks. Lucky for us the hotel had a few employees with buckets full of ice cold Coronas roaming the beach. A Corona in Cancun only costs 2 pesos, which in March 2003 was roughly a little over $1.00.

Kids as young as 18 can legally drink in Mexico so as you can imagine there were a lot of inexperienced partiers getting super wasted for their first times. No one ever carded any of us anyway so it's not like it mattered. One friend of mine did get asked for I.D. on the last day at the airport in a T.G.I.Friday's restaurant.

There were plenty of promo girls actually encouraging you to drink more in order to earn more free stuff like t-shirts, boxer shorts and bottle openers. The Maxim, Nokia, Bacardi, and Corona promotional girls were all totally hot. On stage the various contests always had us entertained. The announcer injected lots of humor during the banana eating contest, whip cream contest, sex position contest, erection contest, and bikini contests. Every time the crowd eliminated all but two girls the announcer would repeatedly tell the girls that it was a "tie" and they had to kiss and dance together to declare a winner.

Most of the time the girls competing on the Oasis Hotel stage were trying to win a $100 bar tab, a Nokia phone, or just a free bikini. The Oasis was definitely the only place to be on the beach during the day, but don't worry if you can't afford to stay there since the bus only costs $0.60 to go anywhere on the strip.

The ladies up on the stage were just a teaser for the action that awaited us at the hopping night clubs like Dady'O, The Hardrock Cafe, Senor Frog's, Azucar, and La Boom. It's an amazing phenomenon that every girl who goes out in Cancun is looking to hook up all you have to do is have some balls and go over and dance with them.
