| I found the best rate to Mazatlan from American Airlines
at the Miami International Airport. As usual I drank a few Coronas and Dos
Equis beers before my flight and I slept the whole way. I had to change
planes in Mexico City but it was a short hop over to the Mazatlan Airport.
I checked in to the luxurious Riviera Beach Hotel and immediately went to
experience Mexico's longest uninterrupted beach. I spotted a party going
on over at Bora Bora Beach Club. Further up the beach was another large
gathering of college babes at Joe's Oyster Bar. My buddies and I liked the
scenic view of the Pacific Ocean but the coeds on the beach were
definitely more interesting to look at. |

| After a few short hours on the beach we went back to the
Riviera Beach Hotel and put on our game faces to experience the nightlife
in Mazatlan. Fiestaland, Bora Bora, and Valentino's Bali Hai are all in
one convenient location. We bounced back and forth looking for some ladies
to put a little romance on. The taxi driver said that Club Blu further up
north was a little slow that night so we went over to Coliseo's to ogle
some more females. We met a group of girls from New Jersey and after we
stopped making fun of their accents we followed them over to El Toro Bravo
where they had a few girlfriends waiting for them. One of the girls in the
group was a major cock blocker so I suggested we introduce the ladies to
my favorite social lubricant - TEQUILA! In no time the cock blocker was
making out with one of my boys and the rest of us could continue to work
the other girls. The only major club we didn't hit that night was Senor
Frogs, but I definitely had plans of taking our crew there the next night
in Mazatlan. |

| A lot of people ask me if they should go to Cancun or Mazatlan. I think that Cancun is amazing but Mazatlan is supposed to be the best value for your Spring Break dollar. I did notice that food and drinks were a bit cheaper in Mazatlan compared to Cancun. The scenery is just as beautiful in both tropical cities, with Mazatlan being a big more jungle-like while Cancun is dominated by beaches. The word Mazatlan actually means "land of the deer" in the ancient Nahuatl language. So you can imagine that the area is a bit more rustic than Cancun. Another thing to consider is that Mazatlan is on the Pacific Ocean which is usually a few degrees colder than the Gulf of Mexico. But during Spring Break you don't have to worry about the weather at all in Mazatlan. It will be warm and sunny for your entire trip. In fact there have been only four (4) rainy days in Mazatlan during March in 26 years! |
